When I am constantly reminded that the stride is the problem, a random question came into mind. For the same height, would you like a longer body than legs, same length for body and legs or longer legs than body? Here's what some people have to say to body-to-leg ratio. The only thing I can think of with longer legs is to run faster! Run! Faster! Run faster!

And yes, if you have only 2 minutes left in this world, what would you do? Sing a 2-minute song for everyone? Run 400 m?

5 km is going bonkers!

I am a chair but that doesn't mean you have to sit on me, right? LOL! Some aunty on board the MRT train lost her balance when the train started to move. She wanted to take the empty seat beside me but ended up sitting on me!

That day I heard a boyfriend brought a baby tigeress up the MRT train and she started to growl and paw the boyfriend. It came to a point where she tried to bite the boyfriend too, until he had hold the big cat by the head and stop it from moving.

All sorts of funny things that can happen on board. Miss those out, rich kids who don't take the MRT train.

Says who I cannot enjoy the lab sessions carried out by SS? He's strict in marking but I feel I learnt a lot from him. So fuck you who's so happy you didn't get SS.

吵死人了

一直以来都是我经常在上课的时候叽里咕噜说个不停, 今天换了一个方式, 别人说, 我不说, 简直就是吵死人了. 我现在才发现真的是很吵. 通常杂音我是可以不理会的, 比如楼下翻新电梯, 收音机, 这些都不会影响到我. 为什么人们不断的说话声却是如此吵闹的呢?

我有新的耳机了! 新的耳机很厉害, 可以把所有的杂音过滤掉, 听歌的时候, 不必开得很大声也听不到外面吵杂的声音.

There are always some original and interesting jokes and concepts Jac and I can conjure on our MRT journey back from school to home. Today, I shall share a concept about love.

It isn't wrong for a guy to stop coming up with novelty after he has managed to woo a girl. It isn't wrong either for a girl to continuously expect her boyfriend to come up with novelty after they have been together. But it's more correct for them to move on to a higher stage. Just like after taking the O Levels, no one in the right mind will still do the O Levels Ten-Year-Series. Rather, it would be more logical to move on to A Level Ten-Year-Series. If the guy doesn't feel like doing A Level Ten-Year-Series, then he should be prepared that his girlfriend might leave him for a Diploma, Integrated Programme or International Baccalaureate.

Is this analogy good? LOL. Maybe some people fail because they forgot to do higher level Ten-Year-Series.

Nearly got knocked down by an olive green Mercedes Kompressor just now near the library. It was the green man when this mercedes decided that its brakes cannot work in time, or rather when the cock-eyed driver decided that he didn't want to stop. In any case, fucked-up driver who missed by 10 cm or he would have succeeded in knocking me down.

Past

I guess everyone has a past, that's why we're each different, that's why the TV series Lost can be so popular. Things and events that happened in the past shape us, change us and should by right, teach us.

Digging the past of people, is it really so unethical? The past of a person, is it a critical part when judging him/her? An impression made better or worse based on the past which was discovered, does it reflect very badly on the person who is judging? Is it shallow just to simply change the opinion of a person because one has heard some things about the person's past? Should what a person has done in the past impede what he/she can/will do in the future?

Talking about the past, I reckon we may even forget some things which we've done, be it even a few minutes ago. If it were a sin, we should learn to repent and not make the same mistake. That's what the past is there for. For many past lifetimes, we've grown and re-incarnated. We've tried our best to reduce the bad karma we have accumulated and increase the good karma. The past is over, we must try harder to do more good deeds this lifetime and work harder to erase the bad we're done in the past. This should be the way we view the past.

The bad done in the past has been reflected as retribution we see in our lives in this lifetime. But this doesn't mean we must stop doing good because we're still given the chance of the present, the opportunity of the future. These greatly brings us forward away from what has been done and allows us to do better to atone for sins committed in the past.

As much as I try to view the past as bygones and let it lie low.

Double Standard, Tit-for-Tat

How do I put this message across? Let me try. It's just yet another Zijuan-type of post and the need to write this comes from some things which trigger brains to think harder.

It takes two hands to clap, two mouths for a conversation to hold, two people to think the same way and one's age to begin with the number two for one to start to have a tingling of what this world is about.

I don't know how to put the message across, it just feels so disgusting when people play the double standard game. As a joke, fine. I bet I play the double standard game too, but at least not so obviously and not so blatantly. And my form of discrimination is always harmless.

The way I prioritise things is also very simple. My ranking has never been new friends over old friends. My ranking has never been old friends over family. My ranking has never been money over friends. Take note.

Sometimes, I don't think things are as difficult to understand as most people perceive it. Keep in mind, how you are treating people. Just because the old novelty runs out and new novelty surges in, you play the double standard game. How shallow of you.

Tit-for-Tat game as well. Is this the Economics Game Theory? I reckon no party is better off and there can be no Nash Equilibrium. If a person does something bad to me, I am supposed to take revenge and do the same. How shallow of me.

The next time you do something, make sure the things you do and the words you say are not irritating and pissing people off. If it's a joke, tell people it's a joke.

Or maybe, I should just let it rest and not be bothered about things. I don't really want to care anymore.

Power Old Uncles

I admire Power Old Uncles! They run like nobody's business! They have incredible stamina which sustains wide strides over a humongously long period of time! I wonder where they find the mental strength to continuously train daily despite their work. The determination and perserverance as well, to keep going and running. Maybe next time I shall try tagging behind one uncle for one lap and see how I fare. I'll see if I don't pant like a hyperventilating freak. At 40 and still running like or better than a 20-year-old, Power Old Uncles rock!

And middle-aged uncle lecturers rock too! From Uncle Tan to Uncle Soo to my latest favourite lecturers, all attract me no less! =P Seriously, what is my problem!

Happy Children's Day

To everyone, who definitely has a Mom and a Dad, Happy Children's Day. Whether you are a kid physically, emotionally, psychologically or none-or-the-above-ly, you're still your parents' child so celebrate Children's Day proudly.

Since becoming a teacher, or a tutor rather, Children's Day has become an event of splurging. Of course, I can give a bag of useless stuff, like what I've gotten. But for sure, I'll make sure the edibles I give are not melamine-tainted and are not so useless after all. At least food that they like to eat isn't useless. I can't bear to give useless stuff to people lest they become as upset as me. I still haven't gotten over it.
