Waiting For Lessons

I'm waiting for lesson and scheduling this post to be up at midnight. I actually don't know why, I really don't like to do things with that problem. In fact, I prefer to be alone than with the problem. I always thought some company is better than no company. And the problem has now proven to me that, no, no company is better than being problematic. LOL. I think I am crazy, I feel extremely happy walking alone in KAIST. I am talking about these days when the weather is seemingly better than the winter times. Just taking a slow stroll while waiting for lessons to start or running an errand in the nice cooling surroundings, really, really refreshing.

I will walk and stop and take photos like a foreigner, YES, I am a foreigner. At times I take photos of the same things and places over and over again. Things are changing and different everyday, but one thing is constant, the problem is as FUCKED as ever. LOL.

Just today, the problem apologised after saying something which hurt. This is the time when I am reminded, how about I slap a person and say sorry after that. Things which are done cannot be undone. And sad to say, no amount of effort the problem tries to put in will alleviate the situation. TOO BAD. A FUCKED up problem can never change its spots. LOL, you know what? I feel so glad that the problem is so CUI, and I hope it creates more jokes for me to laugh at everyday. And yeah, I know, it in itself is a FUCKING joke.

한국에 3주일이 있었어요!

This is a crazy exchange experience, LOL. Why do I have to do homework here? LOL, seriously, homework does sound a little Primary School? LOL! I just got this penalty of 5 marks for submitting 5 days late. LOL, hmm maybe I should not submit late again. But I really don't know and don't have time to do the homework! EH, c'mon leh, I'm only here for exchange, don't make my life so difficult can or not? LOL.

These days, the problem is slightly better? Maybe because I've acquired some skills to counter-counterattack the problem. LOL, and OF COURSE, some other people are getting irritating. Sometimes I wonder, if I find them irritating, which means to say their ways of life are different from mine, then probably, they will find me irritating too. LOL! OK loh, if they think that I'm irritating then so be it loh, what can I do man, LOL.

And I got myself a handphone in Korea, and I think this will be my own memento from this SEP. It's like a cui-2nd-hand-2G handphone which can only be made used of to call the Ski company to make inquiries and reservation. LOL, kimchi is doing me so much good, 好酸哦.

Yesterday I felt the first tingling of Spring. Nice, in fact I was feeling happy about it. This is the kind of weather and sunshine I would like to run in. The weather is really very different and pleasant, like how Herman puts it, "又冷又热" The Sun shines right onto the earth and in between rays, the natural coolness of the air seeps through. OK, I know my description is like shit, I cannot express myself well in English, let me try Chinese. 一箭箭的阳光照射在大地上, 一丝丝的凉意弥漫在空气当中, 让人有种心旷神怡的感觉. LOL! Whatever la, I hope you guys get what I mean.

I'm thinking Ski and Seoul and homework this weekend. It's supposed to be Independence Movement Day this coming 1 March and I have no idea what it is about, only except it's a public holiday for me. Using a public holiday to do homework? Well, sorry la, I don't know why like that, I just know that if I don't do, I will kena penalty again. WTF?

Eating too much, far too much. Buying too much, far too much. Wanting too much, far too much. Lazing around too much, far too much. Enjoying too much, far too much. Is this what exchange is all about? LOL.

CNY in Korea!

After all, the Chinese New Year spent in Korea was good! Eve was a celebration, saw interesting performances and I was lucky! :) Reunion with the PRCs, with dumplings and steamed fish and authentic Chinese food. First day of CNY, skyping with people at home, experiencing a little away from home, lonely CNY, dinner out at Escape and a little shopping around. :)

Second day of CNY coming on, foot spa at Yuseong, dinner at Grace's house. Third day is supposed to be some hiong all-girls-shopping, LOL.

새해 복 많이 받으세요!

Happy Chinese New Year greetings from Korea! :)

It's the first time I'm spending Chinese New Year alone in a foreign land and it's actually very alright! I think I'm really OK with new environment and new people. But this does not mean that I've had bad or worse times in Singapore. I sincerely believe that my ability to take Korean cultures and food and practices should not undermine my experiences in Singapore. :) I still appreciate and enjoy the people and things in Singapore. And very much too. As I spend my days here in Korea, I will remember and think of the lovely times I've had in Singapore!

LOL, actually I just wanted to make this point that, exchanging to Korea, people should just be less fussy and more receptive and more open to changes. I stress this point more than anything. LOL! Maybe I'm meeting too many people who just cannot adapt to changes and I don't know how long they will take. LOL!

Happy Valentine's Day to all too! :)

My Beloved ______, You Should Go FUCK Off

I don't appreciate insults and accusations, intentional or not. So FUCK off, yes, that FUCKING problem has better to FUCK off from my sight.

LOL, that FUCKING problem should be proud it's made it up my blog, not the first time I'm talking about it but, yeah, this is a dedicated post just for it.

Insulting me in a public place, with no regard whether others can hear, I applaud it. How about this? I can try insulting it here now too! It stinks up the entire place, be it coming from itself, its footwear or its food.

Accusing me of things I've never done or will never do, I will, *clap clap clap, well done* it. How about this? I can try accusing it now! FUCKING dirty and smelly and noisy and irritating problem. LOL, sorry those aren't even accusations, those are facts. LOL!

Whatever!

What A Day! LOL!

For the time being, no more stress from the terrible module mapping because it's solved. LOL! It really feels and sounds good. LOL! Solving this troublesome thing really brings a great relief to me  now and for the rest of my University life. LOL. Things really can be done if I try hard enough, I've just proven it.

Alien here, from Venus. LOL, why should I be called an alien? I don't really get it but LOL!

And I went to look for my advisor in KAIST who resides in N24, a very secluded place where only trees and shrubs can be found. LOL! The place is really a warm place! I think I like it very much. LOL! First, it has an endless supply of sweets and chocolates which I can gope =P. Secondly, the PhD students there are so kind and nice to me, they even prepared a workstation with a desktop for me even though I mentioned more than once that I won't be going there often. LOL! Before I left, they gave me oranges. OMG! Everyone has a different encounter with their advisors and I think mine was more than pleasant. :)

LOL, I don't know what I will be doing for Chinese New Year, there'll be a long holiday and I don't have that disgusting lab which I need to do. :) Hmm, 뭘 할 거예요?

Stressed!

It seems like I have to do EE2001 in NUS after all. Very stressed that after dinner, I ate chocolate, marshmallows, corn FLIGHT and drank milk to destress. Can someone save me from all these? ARGHS!

My money is all going into food. LOL. I remember saying this long time ago, when I was in Genting during Secondary School. The money I spend overseas should go into either my stomach, or something which can be brought back to Singapore. LOL, and I think, yes, maybe I should use that as my spending criteria here. And I will just end up buying more food.

Everytime I buy food to try, I always want to ship back to Singapore for everyone back home to eat. LOL, I think it feels nice to be able to tell everyone in Singapore, this is nice from Korea. Money, I wish you would drop from the sky. LOL!

Yes yes, yesterday I dreamt that I left Korea because of that big PROBLEM. LOL! How stupid to leave Korea just like that! No matter how FUCKED up the PROBLEM is, I will remind myself to stay on. LOL!

KOREA!

Wow, I cannot believe I took so long to first blog in Korea, everything is moving at a pace which I cannot either use fast or slow to describe. LOL. I won't say it's fast because I really need more time. More time to explore this place, more time to make more friends and more time to find out new things about me, others and Korea. Neither would I say it's slow because unknowingly, 1.5 weeks has passed and in no time, I'll be back at hot tropical, lovely Singapore again.

The first few days were really mad rush for all the administrative work. Then it was bumming around, looking for fun places to be at. And school started before I realised February has come, now, trying to adapt to this highly competitive and boring school life. I've been to the downtown area of Daejeon, the Escape of KAIST and to come would be tomorrow's Daejeon Zoo and BBQ. I'm looking forward to everything nice and new. :)

In a place where I almost cannot convey what I want in their native language, it's really hilarious and interesting how I try to explain my intentions and I appreciate the Koreans' patience and kindness in trying to comprehend my meaningless hand gestures and body language. :)

Hmm, this trip, though in its very early stages has brought many new insights. It's about opening the mind, to accept new things, situations and circumstances which I have not encountered in Singapore before. Everyone is a different being and coming together in this exchange programme is really an opportunity for one another to know each other and themselves better. An open mind, to accept others' ways of doing things, to accept the lifestyle of the Koreans, to assimilate into their way of living, to not insist on the things I used to do in Singapore, to adapt to the weather, to be adventurous and try new things, to understand that every person is different and has his own way of doing things, there are so many ways I can grow and learn here, and I believe, I can. :)

And I don't know if this is the second or nth time, thank you for making this trip possible and memorable for me, everyone. :)
